Fountaine Pajot ELBA 45 – 2021 | Maestro Version

We present this 2021 Fountaine Pajot ELBA 45 in the Maestro version, a catamaran that perfectly combines comfort, energy autonomy, sailing performance, and build quality, hallmark characteristics of the Fountaine Pajot brand.

This unit stands out for its exceptionally high level of equipment, complemented by numerous upgrades focused on long-distance cruising and life aboard, making it ideal for both coastal navigation and ocean passages, as well as liveaboard use.

The Maestro version offers a spacious and bright owner’s cabin with a private bathroom, separate shower, and generous storage areas, ensuring complete comfort and privacy. The saloon is large, well-lit, and seamlessly integrated with the cockpit, creating a versatile and convivial living space in all conditions.

In terms of navigation and handling, the ELBA 45 is equipped with a full-batten mainsail, electric winch for the mainsail, electric winch for the genoa sheet, as well as an additional Harken winch in the cockpit. This is complemented by the installation of additional rope clutches on both sides, significantly facilitating sail trim and rigging adjustments, even with a reduced crew.

Propulsion is provided by twin Volvo Penta D2-60 engines, fitted with three-blade folding propellers, delivering excellent performance, reliability, and efficiency both during harbour manoeuvres and under power.

Regarding energy autonomy, this unit benefits from a complete upgrade of the electrical system, highlighted by a stainless-steel structure supporting five LG NeOn 390W solar panels, totalling approximately 1950W of solar power, managed by two Victron Energy MPPT 250/100 MC4 charge controllers. The battery bank has been upgraded to a Victron Energy lithium system, consisting of five LFP 12.8V / 200Ah batteries, combined with a Victron Phoenix Multiplus 12/3000 inverter/charger. The entire system is monitored and controlled via a Cerbo GX, with a dedicated display in the saloon and Bluetooth connectivity, providing full control and energy efficiency on board.

This system is further complemented by a 9kW generator and a 12V watermaker with a capacity of 60 litres per hour, allowing for extended autonomy without reliance on marina facilities.

Onboard comfort is enhanced by 220V air conditioning (56,000 BTU), a washing machine, a 90L freezer, cockpit refrigerator, electric freshwater toilets, cabin fans, and a hot water system with an exterior deck shower. The cockpit and platforms are finished in synthetic teak, offering elegance, safety, and easy maintenance, and are further equipped with an integrated gas barbecue, full exterior cushions, and a bimini providing full coverage of the helm station and cockpit.

In terms of electronics, the boat is extensively equipped with the GARMIN Smart Cruising system, including autopilot, AIS, VHF, two GPSMAP 8412 chartplotters, GMI20 displays, and a wireless remote control for the autopilot. It also features a second VHF with AIS at the helm station, radar, a stern camera, a complete multimedia system with TV in both the Maestro cabin and saloon, a WiFi amplifier, Starlink, and an Iridium GO installed in the saloon, ensuring global communications.
