OUTREMER 4X PUFFIN – OWNER’S VERSION, TRUE TO THE OUTREMER DNA
Launched in 2019, Puffin is an Outremer 4X in the Owner’s Version, presented today in excellent condition. Designed by Barreau & Neuman and built in France by Outremer Yachting, she fully expresses the brand’s philosophy: light displacement, offshore reliability and sailing pleasure, without compromise.
This Outremer 4X was specified by an experienced owner with a clear objective: a bluewater cruising catamaran for a couple, capable of sailing long distances efficiently and confidently. The three-cabin owner layout offers an ideal balance between comfort, storage and weight distribution, while preserving the simplicity and functionality essential for extended cruising.
Faithful to the Outremer DNA, Puffin benefits from a lightweight composite structure, a carbon mast and efficient appendages, contributing to strong average speeds and a reassuring, predictable motion at sea. Her sailing characteristics are direct and engaging, offering a clear connection to the boat and an authentic sailing feel, while remaining accessible for short-handed operation.
The deck layout reflects a coherent, performance-oriented approach, with thoughtful solutions that favor efficiency and clarity. A custom carbon bimini has been integrated with care, providing protection while preserving visibility, balance and the clean lines of the Outremer 4X.
Below deck, the Owner’s Version interior is bright, functional and deliberately understated. Designed for life at sea as much as for comfort at anchor, it reflects Outremer’s approach to long-distance cruising: practical spaces, durable materials and a focus on what truly matters underway.
Privately owned, never chartered and carefully maintained since delivery, Puffin is a coherent and ready-to-sail Outremer 4X. Available in Brisbane and Australian tax paid, she is offered by Outremer Yachting, in collaboration with our local partner.
PERFORMANCE & CONSTRUCTION
Faithful to the Outremer DNA, Puffin features a lightweight composite structure combining GRP and carbon fiber, foam-sandwich bulkheads and composite daggerboards and rudders. Her powerful yet balanced sail plan, carbon mast and efficient appendages deliver excellent average speeds with a reassuring motion at sea.
Carbon tiller helms provide direct feel and precise control, while the deck layout is optimized for safe, short-handed sailing in all conditions.
