The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 389 is a sleek cruising sailboat designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group in France. This fully loaded shoal draft version features a shorter keel to grant access to shallow areas. She features a spacious cockpit with custom canvas package and oversized dodger and custom cockpit cushions. Comfortable stairs lead below to the airy and bright interior. Two roomy cabins and bathroom with walk in shower with divider, a custom convertible salon table allows for six to sleep comfortably. The large storage barn provides significant storage capacity making this layout well suited for long range cruising. She is equipped with in mast furling main, 16,000 btu AC, bow thruster, the latest Raymarine electronics including an Axiom GPS touchscreen with wi-fi, life raft, solar and radar.
Accommodations
Down below the 389 is surprisingly roomy with large windows and overhead hatches for plenty of light and ventilation. Teak cabinetry and light PVC Weiss upholstery keep it bright. The companionway stairs are not steep, making entry and exit comfortable. The galley is to port with plenty of storage space and room to work. The U-shaped dining table comfortably seats 6 and converts to a double birth. Forward is the large V-birth master cabin to aft is the comfortable queen cabin. Both cabins have hanging lockers and plenty of storage. There is a large head with electric toilet and a walk-in shower with divider.
