Description
“Moonstone”, a one-owner 2017 Beneteau Oceanis 48, is a consummate racer/cruiser that embodies elegance, performance, and spacious livability. Professionally maintained, this monohull features a sleek fiberglass hull and a deep, fin keel, ensuring stability and agility on the water. Powered by a robust Yanmar 4JH80 engine and Yanmar saildrive, delivering 80 horsepower, this yacht is designed for cruising to near and distant destinations comfortably.
Numerous upgrades have been made to the boat to provide for days at anchor, and near-limitless cruising, all year round. The interior of this Oceanis 48 offers a spacious layout with three comfortable cabins and two heads, including a separate shower. With only 1075 professionally-maintained engine hours, she is ready for new journeys. Experience the perfect blend of luxury and functionality aboard Moonstone, where every detail is crafted for an exceptional cruising experience.
“Moonstone” exudes the care the owners have taken throughout their ownership. She is immaculate, cruise-ready, and has taken the current owners to the San Juans, Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound, the Broughton Archipelago, and a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. She has a beautiful grey hull, teak decks, in-mast furling, upgraded AGM batteries and battery capacity, upgraded Balmor alternator, electric winches, hydronic heat, dodger, bimini, Rochna anchor, 200 feet of chain (200 feet of rode), and integrated Starlink Wifi.
The comfortable layout has a large master cabin forward with separate toilet and shower, abundant storage and light from both above and hull windows. Moving aft into the main salon she has a large U shaped convertible dinette table to starboard and sliding nav table/breakfast table seating to port. The galley is aft to port with centerline sinks and an abundance of workspace. The two aft cabins, one with an ensuite head and separate shower, makes bringing guests aboard a pleasure.
On deck the cockpit is large and accommodating for sailing with a small or large crew. With the folding transom in the retracted position, she is great for entertaining, swimming, and facilitating transit to/from shore. The foredeck is open and features a spacious storage locker aft of the chain locker for toys, sails, or both.
“Moonstone” was christened by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first non-stop, solo, circumnavigator (1968) after her delivery to the owners in 2018. A Highfield 310 dinghy and 9.9hp engine are included.
