Designed by Philippe Briand, the Sun Odyssey 509combines timeless design, exceptional seaworthiness and unmatched comfort. This example has been fastidiously maintained by its current owners and always serviced at the same yard near Rome airport since new.
The layout is the most popular 3 cabin 2 head version with large owner cabin forward with ensuite, large saloon with C shaped saloon to port connecting to a generous nav station, twin lounge seats to starboard, Large L shaped galley to starboard, and twin double aft with a shared day head. The Jeanneau golden teak and white upholstery is in excellent condition.
The cockpit is designed for ease of use and socialising, with a fold-down swim platform, ample seating, and all lines leading back to the twin helm stations that sport compasses and up to date Raymarine instrumentation mostly replaced in 2023. The wide side decks, flush hatches, and large fore deck contribute to easy movement around the boat.
The classic rig has been constantly serviced and all rigging is updated with high spec equipment.
