Description
The Fountaine Pajot Orana 44 is a popular catamaran known for its design that combines sailing performance, spacious interiors, and a user-friendly layout. It is suitable for owners who are looking for an ocean cruising boat. Our boat is a 3-cabin owner's version. It should not be compared with the 4-cabin charter versions. The owner's version typically features a full walk-around bed and a generous bathroom, and a fore pantry cabin in the master cabin.
The open-plan galley and saloon seamlessly transition into the cockpit on the same level via a sliding door. The cockpit is spacious, featuring a large table that accommodates up to eight people. The boat’s interior design adds a sense of luxury and style throughout. SY Seamar has a wide galley with a fridge and freezer, a forward-facing chart table with an excellent outside view, and a raised helm position that seats three.
Located aft in the starboard hull, the owner's cabin features a double bed mounted across the boat, allowing access from both sides. It includes storage under the bed, shelves, a closet, and ventilation via a deck hatch, porthole, and fan. The master bathroom is accessible through a wooden door. It includes a countertop with a built-in wash basin, hot and cold water, a shower with an electric drainage pump, an electric toilet with a holding tank, and storage. Forward of the master cabin, also in the starboard hull, is a pantry cabin with shelves and a dive compressor storage. This area is also accessible from the deck and can be used as a crew cabin as well.
The aft port side cabin features a double bed with side access, storage under the bed, a hanging closet, and ventilation. The forward port side cabin includes a double bed with side access, storage, a hanging closet, library shelves, and ventilation. Each cabin has its own bathroom with similar amenities to the master bathroom. In this hull, heads are manually operated. Head’s pumps are renewed with Jabsco pumps in February 2025.
The saloon offers panoramic views through wrap-around windows and includes a comfortable settee, a large table for eight, and a forward-facing chart table with closed shelves. The spacious cockpit is on the same level as the saloon, with a large table and seating. A sun deck is located behind the helmsman's seat.
The current owner purchased the boat in August 2023 to experience sailing and has carefully used it since. He has made many improvements during their period of ownership. The boat owner wishes to continue with a faster and smaller boat, which is why he is putting the boat up for sale. Reasonable power cat and/or single-hulled, small motor yachts with at least two engines may be considered for trade by the owner.
SY Seamar has been upgraded with features by the current owner such as big capacity solar panels, a new roll bar, generator, watermaker for self-sufficiency, brand new Yanmar 4JH5 diesel engines, new propellers, updated electronics, teak cockpit, deck-wash system, new liquid tanks, updated air condition units, new hatches and portholes, new cushions, new beds, new sun beds, new batteries, new sea cocks and through hulls and a brand new washing machine. All upgrades were described in detail in the inventory list shared below.
The boat is in excellent and sail-ready condition. She is on the hard standing. You can check the underwater, sailing and walking through videos of the boat. Please ignore Volvo Penta diesel engines in the videos. Because the brand new Yanmar diesel engines have recently been installed. Appointments are required to see the boat. Please make an appointment at least 3 days in advance of your future visit. The boat demonstrations can be held during the working hours of the day, except on Sundays.
