The legacy of a modern classic Introduced in 1989, the Catalina 42 is one of the most successful cruising sailboats of its size, with over 1,000 hulls built. The MKII version, launched in 1995, refines this classic with a deeper rudder for better handling and the optional three-cabin layout that became popular with cruising couples.This particular model, Paradigm Shift was built during a banner year for Catalina Yachts, when the 1000th hull of the 42 series was completed.
