Description

Whether you are an experienced sailor looking for your next ocean crossing or a passionate enthusiast ready to set sail with an eye on value for money and maintaining value over time, this 2007 Beneteau Oceanis 523 is an excellent choice.
The Beneteau Oceanis 523 was awarded Boat of the Year in 2005, and rightly so. Designed to combine luxury and performance, it is a spacious and high-performing offshore cruiser, with elegant lines, comfortable living spaces, and sailing performance that satisfies sailing lovers.

One of the distinctive features of the Oceanis 523 is its combination of speed and comfort. Designed by Groupe Finot, it boasts a 16 m hull with a width of 4.9 m, offering an optimal combination of speed and comfort and stable, smooth sailing even in rough seas. Its reduced draft with increased ballast ensures ideal course maintenance and excellent sailing performance in open water, enhancing safety in shallow waters and allowing navigation and mooring in areas prohibited to larger drafts. Its 110 HP Yanmar diesel engine with variable pitch Max-Prop propeller ensures the necessary power even in the absence of wind. Thanks to a powerful 9.5 kW Onan generator, high-quality AGM batteries, and a Dessalator Duo watermaker, electricity and fresh water are never a problem, essential features for anyone planning long trips or living aboard.

The external cockpit features a beautiful folding teak table, protected by a new dark gray Sumbrella bimini and sprayhood (2024) and covered in water-repellent gray New York fabric (2024).
Large lockers both in the cockpit and at the stern, fully accessible while standing, allow for easy storage of any equipment.
All running rigging is led from the mast and the forestays to the cockpit, preventing the crew from exposing themselves to dangers on deck in adverse weather conditions.

Descending below deck, one notices the robustness and attention to detail. The finishes in fine wood, abundant natural light, numerous openings and vents, and the smart layout make this cruising yacht welcoming and luxurious.
It has five double cabins and five bathrooms (including a private crew cabin with private bathroom), making it the ideal choice for large families, groups of friends, charters, or owners who wish to host guests in maximum privacy and style. The salon is spacious and inviting, with seating for up to ten people around the extendable dining table, perfect for entertaining guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-burner stainless steel gimbal stove/oven, large refrigerator and freezer compartments, microwave, double sink, coffee machine, and waste disposal system from the countertop, making cooking on board a pleasure, whether at anchor or underway.
Thanks to the diesel heating system with liquid heat exchangers (not forced air) and independent thermostats in all five cabins, you can stay comfortable even in the coldest climates, while the numerous openings and vents will ensure excellent ventilation and comfort on board even in summer.

Complete and reliable navigation and onboard systems make the 523 easy to handle and perform well. Complete Raymarine instrumentation: ST7001 autopilot, dual chartplotter (E120 inside and E80 outside), 24 nm radar, VHF with DSC and external speakers, Class B AIS, Navtex, Epirb with GPS.

The 4 oversized Harken electric winches, the two robust Harken furlers for the genoa and staysail, the semi/full batten mainsail with smooth hoisting and lowering in its lazy bag (2024), and ALL the maneuvers led to the protected cockpit make sail management easy and safe, even for a small crew.

Sailing both downwind and upwind with its 130% genoa and Elvstrom semi/full batten mainsail (from 2017), you will appreciate its excellent sea-keeping in all conditions. Safety is guaranteed by high-quality bilge pumps with alarm sensors in the bilges and a smoke and carbon monoxide detector (both remotely controllable via Wi-Fi), safety equipment for 10 people, several fire extinguishers, and an emergency bar. The superb Wasi stainless steel anchor with 100 m of 13 mm chain and two control devices for the windlass with counters at both the helm and bow ensure safe anchoring wherever you drop anchor.

The vessel has been lovingly cared for by its experienced owner, who has sailed over 55,000 nautical miles with various types of vessels, with meticulous updates and constant maintenance. It is structurally sound, fully functional, and ready for its next owner, who will enjoy many more years of sailing in open waters.
