Owner's opinion
A few years ago, I set out to acquire my seventh boat with a focus on comfort and safety cruising. Our sailing area remains between Cape Finisterre, the British Isles, and the Bay of Somme. We chose the Nauticat 331 due to its quality of construction. We found this unit that had been pampered and improved from day one by its first French owner. We took over with the same mantra. It is a magical boat, very comfortable, powerful and seaworthy, highly appreciated by ladies and safe. Its deck saloon is very bright. A large part of the wintering has always taken place on the hard, maintenance has always been carried out by professionals, the antifouling and replacement of anodes every year also by professionals. It sails well but obviously not a racer, the spinnaker pulls its 9 tons easily and its Yanmar is an excellent silent asset at a thousand RPM on a close haul in the cabin. It is THE happy boat. The imperatives of age, and the rarity of crew members push me to part with it to move towards more coastal and river navigation. I wish above all that its next captain is a sailor very attentive to its maintenance, it will pay off.
