Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• GRP deck with end grain balsa core sandwich using fibre glass mat and rovings on both sides, giving a light, rigid and well insulated hull.  
• GRP hull balsa core is used from toe rail to below water line.  
• Solid laminate is used in high stress areas around keel, mast foot and in the joint between the hull-halves. Bottom reinforcements are longitudinal and transversal solid laminate design.
• Deck laid in synthetic teak both ring deck and cockpit.
• Blue vinyl wrap on hull with white gel below.
• Copper coat September 2021.
• All anodes replaced 2023, prop anodes Oct 2024.

 

Keel & Rudder:

• Balanced blade rudder on stainless steel stalk.
• Externally bolted lead keel on moulded GRP keel stub with a deep sump.
• All original boat manuals, instruction booklets and schematic drawings.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Volvo Penta TMD 22P 78HP (S-drive) diesel. Saildrive seals replaced August 2021.
• Volvo gearbox serviced Oct 2024 with new seals.
• Upgraded stainless steel throttle and new engine control panel July 2021.
• Upgraded variable speed engine bay fan.
• Original Volvo toolset.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine hours approx. 3,800 @ October 2025.
• Engine will be serviced this winter (2025).

 

Propulsion & Steering:

• Wheel (60” with new elk hide cover 2021), Edson Cobra chain binnacle and emergency steering gear
• Rudder bearings full replacement July 2021.
• Volvo Penta 3-blade folding propeller, cleaned and anti-fouled October 2023.
• Retractable bow thruster with controls at helm, new October 2023.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• Main system is 24 volt + secondary 12 volt lighting and outlet system.

Battery Banks:

• Batteries 230Ah/24volt Lipo with 200Ah/24 volt AGM (April 2024).
• Separate engine battery.

 

Battery Chargers/Inverters:

• Victron Quattro 24v/3000W charger invertor, new in October 2021.
• Battery monitor Victron BMV712 with Bluetooth, new in September 2022.

 

Alternators:

• Standard engine alternator.
• Second alternator servicing domestic battery bank.

 

Shore Power:

• 220v shore power system with ring main throughout the yacht.
• Isolation transformer
• Ring main and sockets 220v and USB throughout with RCD protection.

 

Other Electrical:

• 2 x 175W adjustable solar panels (fitted in 2022) and 100W on-deck behind mast, with Victron 100/30 charge controller.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• 24v pressurised freshwater distribution system with hot and cold water throughout.
• 40 litre 900W calorifier.
• Hot and cold water transom shower.
• Two manual bilge pumps.
• Two automatic electric bilge pumps, one in saloon and one in forward locker.
• Two heads; forward heads reconditioned in 2023 with new sanitation pipes.
• Two showers – thermostatic shower in forward heads.
• Filtered fresh water via manual foot pump in galley.

 

Bilge Pumps:

• 2 x manual bilge pumps.
• 1 x electric bilge pump.

Tankage

Fuel:

• Total fuel capacity of 275 litres in 1 x aluminium tank (+twin fuel filters).

 

Fresh Water:

• Total freshwater 435 litres in 2 x aluminium tanks.

 

Grey/Blackwater holding tanks: 

• Two blackwater holding tanks with shutoff valves; holding tanks cleaned and new forward hoses installed July 2023.

Navigation Equipment

• Chartplotter and radar display Raymarine Axiom 9+ (2021) with Navionics update October 2023.
• Radar Raymarine Quantum Doppler Q24D (2021).
• AIS Class A and B Raymarine 700 (October 2023).
• Autopilot – Raymarine EV400 (August 2021).
• 2 x Raymarine ST60 multi displays, at chart table and in cockpit.
• Raymarine ST60 speedometer.

Accommodation

Summary of Accommodation:

• 6 berths in 3 cabins.
• Three double cabins, with berth cushions upholstered in Aquaclean Scala Ecru (June 2023).
• Interior woodwork finished in satin varnished mahogany.
• Saloon with dinette and chart table seat upholstered in Wildman & Bugby Medal Cracker pigmented leather (June 2023).
• The saloon is large with lots of natural light.  
• Concertina blinds in saloon.
• Rollershade blinds on deck hatches and in cabins.

 

Description of layout from forwards:

 

Forward Heads Compartment:

• Moulded bottom section drained by electric pump and moulded upper section.
• Separate shower stall (full standing space) with curtain on stainless rail.  
• Wash basin to starboard.  Toilet to port with waste tank.
• Towel hangers.
• Lockers above toilet and wash basin and extensive lighting.
• Teak shower grating; shower drained by electric pump.

 

Forward Cabin:

• Queen size double berth with internally sprung mattress to port side with cabinets along hull side.  
• Large drawer and cabinet under berth.  
• Seat with cabinets along hull side on SB side between hanging lockers forward and aft.
• New lee cloth.

 

Main Cabin:

• Dinette arrangement with table on port side with one loose director’s chair.
• Port side has 2 cupboards with book shelving.  
• SB side has table between main bulkhead and nav. station with dedicated chart stowage, and there is also a dedicated wine and glass cupboard.  
• Storage shelf under saloon table.

 

Galley:

• U-shaped galley with Corian counter top.
• Drawer section, built-in cutting board, dry food locker.

• The sails have been serviced every winter and maintained to a high standard.

• Ocean Safety Type 1 [ISO 9650] six person liferaft new 2023.
• Gas powered foghorn.
• 2 x Baltic lifebuoys with lights.
• Firdell Blipper radar reflector.
• Full length safety jack stays.
• Danbuoy (flag only, no light).

 

Fire-Fighting Equipment:

• 3 x fire extinguishers, one in starboard stern locker, one in saloon under chart seat and the third in the forward cabin.
• Fire blanket in galley.
• Fire and carbon monoxide alarm (not fitted) in saloon.
