1998 Voyage Norseman 430
Fully Equipped Off-Grid Family Cruiser
The 1998 Voyage Norseman 430 is the ideal off-grid sailing catamaran for adventurous families. With 2,875W of solar panels and 600Ah lithium batteries, you’ll never worry about power on board. Easily run two refrigerators, one freezer, and Starlink for 3–4 days without sun. The 15 gal/h 12V watermaker ensures complete independence. In the rare case of three consecutive cloudy days, the generator (used only twice!) can quickly recharge the batteries. This setup demonstrates how well the solar system and batteries have been managed.
Named NIU, this catamaran has been lovingly sailed by her current owners —a Spanish family of five—from Antigua to Mexico, covering over 5,000 nautical miles since 2023 and visiting six countries.

The Voyage 430 offers four queen-size cabins (two in each hull) with private access and en-suite heads in the middle of each hull. Both hulls are symmetrical for balanced comfort. The aft starboard cabin houses the watermaker controls, while the aft cabins also store the lithium and engine batteries under the berths.
The spacious salon comfortably seats eight people. The table folds completely for extra space, with storage cabinets underneath. The galley is a highlight, featuring panoramic 360° views, a four-burner stove with oven, two refrigerators, and one freezer—plenty of capacity to provision for weeks without a supermarket. The sink has three taps: one for fresh water, one for purified drinking water (with filter), one for salt water (with dedicated pressure pump), and a testing tap for the watermaker output before it goes to the tanks.
