Description
ARDENT is a rare offering and a fantastic value for anyone looking for a cruiser/racer. She is a fast blue water passage maker.
ARDENT has had a complete refit for blue water cruising with Solent double head sail rig and a very nice interior modified and beautifully refurbished by her current owner, a furniture maker by trade and solo sailor by preference. A few of Ardents custom features include a forward anchor windlass and locker, cabinets in the forward berth, cockpit table for comfortable dining or a custom workbench can take its place. New refrigerator and freezer powered by the sun or wind. All mechanical and electrical systems updated (2024-2025) or rebuilt. Resewn main sail and new head sails (2025), 3 spinnakers in excellent condition. Absolutely everything was gone over and replaced with new components or brought up to good working order in (2024-2025)
A brand new hypolon dingy with 8 hp yamaha 2 stroke and a customized davit system. The current owners were preparing for a 5 year adventure.
The previous owners of Ardent used her originally for a mixture of East Coast cruising and local racing including three Annapolis to Bermuda races and an Annapolis to Newport race. With the owners’ interest in further offshore adventure in 2008,the boat was completely refitted for long-term ocean cruising with safety and cruising comfort in mind. Following the refit, the owners then sailed her double-handed across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean where they spent several years cruising the Mediterranean from west to east, visiting Spain, Italy, Malta, Greece, Turkey and Croatia.
