Description
Lagniappe has been a fixture on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain for a number of years. And now, her current owners are retiring from sailing to pursue their dreams of RV traveling. Â
She has a shoal draft wing keel for getting close into anchorages, and tall rig with bowsprit for added performance at sail. Â Her current owners added Cruising Concepts custom companionway doors to be used in the companionway, for added visibility from, and natural light in the saloon.
One doesn't have to search much on the internet to learn about the storied history of the Catalina 30s. Users describe her as the "first big boat" or a "surprisingly heavy and able to withstand winds that would turn similar boats back to the marina".Â
With over 6000 built, the Catalina is a well-known cruiser that's not afraid to race around the lake. And the desirable "Tall Rig" configuration adds just the right amount of performance to be competitive.
Down below, Lagniappe has the "big boat" feel that Catalina 30 owners love. With ample sleeping area to easily accommodate two couples or a small family, Lagniappe is the perfect get-away to a long weekend at Ship Island or a trip to Biloxi. Â
She has recently had critical work done, and there are components already in place for the next owners to install for luxury upgrades like air conditioning. Â Call or email to set up a showing!
