Description
This Grand Soleil 45 “ACAMAR III” is a boat that tells a special story:
born from the design of German Frers, it combines the soul of a comfortable and safe cruiser with that of a racer
capable of thrilling in regattas. It is a boat nearly 14 meters long that, as soon as you see it, impresses
with its elegant lines, navy blue hull, and clean, modern deck: at the stern, the rare retractable
platform transforms the transom into a true terrace over the sea, a very rare detail on this model and highly sought after today.
Under sail, it is a “real” boat: stable, powerful, with a generous sail plan, rigging and
sporty boat equipment, but always easy to handle even with a reduced crew thanks to
numerous winches, double headsail furlers, and an organized deck. Those who take it cruising appreciate
the enormous spaces for its category, three real cabins, two comfortable bathrooms, and a dinette that becomes
another double bed; those who love performance find Frers' touch in a balanced
behavior, fast on all points of sail, solid in strong winds.
The recent refit 2023–2024 has brought it back to a state that is hard to call “used”: hull, deck,
mast, and boom have been completely repainted, the teak has been refurbished while maintaining ample thickness,
all deck equipment, rigging, running rigging, and much of the systems have been renewed with high-quality components.
Inside, the atmosphere is warm, dry, tidy, with well-maintained furnishings, updated service systems,
new mattresses: a boat that immediately conveys the feeling of having been loved
and not simply “used.”
From a practical point of view, it is a true “little gem ready to go”: there are no major works to
schedule, the major maintenance items have already been addressed, the boat has always been
hauled out in the winter months with regular maintenance on the hull, systems, and engine.
It is the classic unit that can be purchased today, loaded with provisions, and taken straight to cruising or
to the starting line of a regatta without thinking about shipyards and estimates.
The sale comes only for an external reason unrelated to the boat: the owner is forced to leave the
country for work reasons and, under different circumstances, would never have put it on the market.
It is one of those “fortunate” Grand Soleils, which have found passionate, meticulous owners,
ready to invest time and resources to keep it at the highest level.
A combination like this – Frers design, version with retractable platform, very recent refit,
excellent aesthetic and structural conditions –
is objectively rare: a boat difficult to replicate throughout Italy, designed for those who seek
something more than just a simple used boat and truly want to fall in love with their 45 feet.
