Description
Mardel is a Nautor Swan 46 Mk1 # 045 built in 1986 with an in-mast furling sloop rig and the owners layout with two double cabins and two heads, plus 3 sea berths.
She had a minor refit in 2017 when she was repowered with a new Volvo MD22 diesel engine, new watermaker, windlass, instruments, leather upholstery and new standing rigging.
The current owner purchased the vessel in Martinique in 2019 and sailed her around the Caribbean islands for three years, arriving in Antigua in 2022 when she was hauled out for a few days, however due to a change of circumstances she has remained ashore unattended for more than three years and now requires some tlc.
The teak decks need attention and the bilges have been taking on rainwater from leaking hatches up to the cabin sole.
Mardel is listed for sale ‘as-is-where-is’.
Buyers should be aware that the vessel is uninsured so she cannot be launched for a seatrial and there are no recent surveys available.
