Oyster Heritage 37 Pilothouse

Currently in Newport, close to the Severn Bridge and with Fin and Skeg quality design construction, this fantastic and rare Blue Water Pilothouse yacht from Oyster has had one caring owner since 1994.  She was previously owned by an Admiral as the only other owner since sold by Landamores. 

She presents extremely well for anyone looking for a yacht which will look after them and shows little to reflect her age.  Her treadmaster deck grip is in great condition and the GRP finish would be expected to be half its age. She also benefits from copper coating making maintenance easier. Her owner is finishing sailing and so a huge number of spares and additional items will be included in the sale. This makes her ready to go!

Tilly Whim V is one of the best fitted out yachts we have seen for some time, she has an extensive list of equipment and spares for short, medium or long distance cruising.

Originally supplied by Landamore's who it is thought, had her as a demonstrator.  She has replaced, strengthened pilot house windows and lewmar hatches and portholes.  She also offers the comfort and security of her second, inside helm but with 360 views through clear, sitting-height windows.  Her pilot house seating also offers a double berth option with two further cabins, galley and head below.

Her stainless rigging was replaced 4 years ago and the liferaft and jonbuoy are being serviced for inclusion in the sale.  The continual attention to upgrading has meant she has recent head sail reefing, 2016 radar, recent engine from 2010 and regular servicing.  She has a new towing generator and new boom and gas kicker in addition to the extensive list of other deck equipment.  Her aft deck extension, professionally made from teak and stainless allows easy access and movement to and from the tender.

An owner, happy to keep her at her best also ensures she has replaced running rigging as required, an ideal sail wardrobe, up-to-date safety gear and recent EPIRB (needing servicing). Lights are all LED, 2 x engine alternators, a Max-prop feathering three blade propeller for efficiency and which is slightly offset to enable the shaft to be removed with the rudder in situ.  She is lifted every year with a regime of clutch, winch and other servicing by the owner.  She carries spare anodes and an array of engine filters and spares.  She has recently serviced through hull fittings, seacocks, stern gland and sails.  The batteries are Rolls premium deep cycle, the heating is by Webasto and there is a hydro vane fitted with the optional larger rudder.
