1980 Hans Christian 38T Cutter: Fully Refit Offshore Classic in Mazatlán, Mexico

A true offshore beauty, this 1980 Hans Christian 38T Cutter "Holly Ann" is a superb example of the legendary bluewater design, lovingly maintained and thoroughly refitted with modern systems from top to bottom. Located in Mazatlán, Mexico, she’s turn-key ready for serious cruising or liveaboard comfort.

Recent refit highlights include a complete hull and deck repaint, fresh bottom paint, and refreshed 65hp Isuzu diesel with rebuilt alternator, starter, and new mounts. The upgrades continue with a custom stainless-steel center water tank, Kuuma water heater, and a fully integrated B&G navigation suite featuring Zeus 12” and 7” displays, Triton² instruments, Halo 20+ radar, AIS, wind sensors, and autopilot components ready for installation.

Energy independence is assured with new 1200-watt solar panels (2024), Victron SmartSolar controller, AGM house batteries, and a Xantrex 3000W pure sine inverter. Comfort and safety upgrades include LED lighting throughout, rebuilt watermaker pump, custom stainless solar arch and swim ladder, Mustang inflatable life vests with ACR PLBs, and much more!

NON-OPERATIONAL EQUIPMENT

  • Water maker electricity is disconnected under salon seat in order to access engine compartment.  Membrane needs to be replaced. Pressure pump was re-wound in 2023, but not tested as of yet and not needing the water maker currently.
  • The Inverter is brand new, but not currently hooked up.  It is mounted, and 12v wiring is run to the unit, but not connected.  As this inverter does not contain it's own outlet, the unit needs to be connected to the breaker panel with appropriate wiring.
  • The boat does come with a NEW uninstalled DD15 autopilot drive and operation keypad valued at over $3000.  l think all that is needed to complete the installation are a NAC3 AP Controller,  a compass module and lever arm. Owner did not have time to get the drive unit itself installed.

EXCLUSIONS

  • Mermaid artwork on salon wall is not part of the sale. 
  • Blankets on beds are not part of sale.  
  • Two rolls of material on starboard bunk are not part of sale.  
  • Personal clothing is not part of sale.   
  • Snorkeling gear is not part of sale.
