The Fly 34, also known as Mosquito104, is a sleek Danish classic, built in 1980
The Fly 34, also known as Mosquito104, is a sleek Danish classic, built in 1980. This sporty sailboat was designed by the maritime architectural firm Elvstrøm & Kjaerulff. Over the years, many improvements and replacements have been made, including the propulsion with engine (Volvo Penta MD2020) and sails (main sail and jib Hagoort Sails). The rigging with a tall mast, narrow hull shape, and deep keel means sailing fast and high into the wind. The interior is simple but characteristic, with 4 longitudinal benches and standing height. A few points of attention: the top light needs to be checked. There is a new bulb in it, but it does not work well. The mast and the halyards also need attention, and the cover needs to be replaced.
