Description
Blackbeard II was designed by William Garden and built by Master Shipwright Pat Sullivan in Victoria, B.C. She is USCG Documented. She was completed in 1975 and launched in 1978. The boat is Strip Planked with Red Cedar on steamed and laminated Oak Frames, and fastened with galvanized nails. She’s powered by a Perkins 4-236, 4 Cylinder, 85HP Diesel Engine. Her 6 Dyno 6 VDC House Batteries and Lifeline 12 VDC Starter Battery are charged with a Xantrex Freedom Marine 25A 2500W Charger. Her Electronics include a Garmin GPSMap 741xs Chart Plotter/Radar/GPS/Knotmeter, a Raymarine Digital Depthsounder/Knotmeter/Trip Log, Raymarine Wind and Speed Instruments, Uniden Oceanus and West Marine Handheld VHF, Sony and Cybernet onboard Stereo and a Qualcomm Globalstar Satellite Phone.
Blackbeard II has had the same owners for 40 years! They are the 2nd owners.

On Deck, Blackbeard II has wide open teak deck space that merges well with the large cockpit. She can be handled by two or accommodate the entire family! The teak decks are in great condition (as noted in recent survey). The Sails are made by PT Sails (Carol Hasse, in Port Townsend) and in very good condition, including a Furling Genoa, Staysail, Main, Mizzen and Asymmetrical Spinnaker. She has a Hydraulic Windlass on the bow to haul up her 60# CQR w/ 200' chain and rope rode with a back up 45# CQR w/ 50' chain and rope rode.
Down Below Blackbeard II has an open and bright interior layout with great lighting from the large house side windows. She has a spacious Salon with an L-shaped Settee and large table. There are two large quarter berths aft, navigation station, large galley with a Force-10 Propane 3-Burner Stove and Oven, Pacific Refrigeration Freezer and Refrigerator, Stainless Sink, an Aqua Marine 18 GPH Reverse-Osmosis Water Maker System and Hot and Cold Pressure Water and the sink.

Blackbeard II has been extremely well taken care of by her longtime owners. The vessel is in very good condition and ready for her next adventure!
