Description
A Vessel with Legacy
Commissioned in 1949, the yacht gained global prestige in 1966 when she was acquired by Stavros Niarchos, one of the most powerful shipping tycoons of the 20th century. He gifted the yacht to his fourth wife, Charlotte Ford, heiress of the Ford automobile dynasty. This connection alone positions AMAZON among the most storied and valuable sailing yachts still afloat.She was later renamed Argosy, and today sails proudly under the name AMAZON, following an extensive and sensitive refit in 2005, preserving her classic identity while integrating modern comforts.
