My Sisa

While they have been cruising for less than a month, the owners of My Sisa may find that they’re already booked for the entire summer season in the Med. That is, if their family and friends realize there are three VIP staterooms onboard.

My Sisa, the 15th launch from Benetti’s Vision 145 semi-custom series, is strictly a private yacht. The owners put their imprint on her by requesting five guest staterooms (two additional guest cabins accompany the VIPs), a higher than usual number for the LOA. They did so because they plan to host several people aboard in the coming months and years. The staterooms and the rest of the yacht are decorated with a combination of modern and nautical elements, the latter being golden brass.

To increase their comfort, as well as that of their guests, the owners also requested an elevator be installed. Benetti’s in-house engineering department determined it could rise fully to the sundeck without the elevator shaft visually impeding the overall deck space. It’s a structural balancing act that several yards are successfully accomplishing these days. And it’s something I expect will continue to be employed on many more yachts, especially given aging populations and the desire to accommodate people with physical challenges.
