Jeanneau 57 Dinghy Garage
Jeanneau 57 features a dinghy garage like the big boys. That does it, how is it possible that the new Jeanneau 57 has a bigger garage than my house? I recently stepped aboard the Jeanneau 57, the flagship and the largest boat in the Jeanneau Yachts line. The new luxury design has a lot of nice features including a powerful rig, sleek decks and a very comfortable layout, but it also has some interesting and handy items like built-in sheet boxes that I mentioned last week, a fridge in the cockpit table and a garage. Yup, a dink garage. The Jeanneau 57 transom opens up to reveal a large space into which you can stuff just about anything but it’s specifically designed to carry an inflatable dinghy – cross ways. A full sized dink (under 10 feet) can be brought entirely into the boat (minus the outboard) in case you don’t want to clutter the aft deck with things like davits or arches. A roller and a winch are included in the space to make the job easier. So, after a busy day of buzzing around the anchorage, you can park the “car” and step up into the cockpit, reach into the fridge built into the table and have a cold one. Now, that’s the kind of cruising I could get use to.
