VESSEL OVERVIEW

Pontoons are well known as being great for first-time boaters, and the Sea Doo Switch line is rapidly gaining new boater market share. After spending a day on the Switch Cruise Limited out in Beaver Lake, it’s easy to see why. The handlebar steering makes even the 21’ deluxe model super easy to drive, as well as makes docking and trailering a lot less scary for the driver. Let’s take a closer look at the features on this new 2024 Sea Doo Switch Cruise Limited.

ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE

The 2024 Switch Cruise Limited is 21 feet in length and boasts a Rotax 1630 ACE engine delivering 230 horsepower, ensuring reliable power and an unmatched level of maneuverability that sets it apart from other pontoon boats. For our adventure out in Arkansas, this was more than enough room and power for the 6 of us to swirl around the Beaver Lake recreation area at about 25 mph, with max speeds topping out over 30mph depending on your load. The handlebar steering honestly makes driving this pontoon as easy as riding a bike. Our group took turns taking sharp turns, while I trolled along admiring the rock walls and getting super close to them - something I might not have felt too comfortable doing in a boat of similar size with traditional steering. Not sure if I made our guide nervous but I definitely wasn’t!

HELM STATION

The Switch Cruise Limited features an upgraded captain’s chair at the helm, with forward and back adjustability, increased cushion, and updated arm rests. At the helm I was comfortable sitting in the chair but also loved it folded back while standing up and cruising around. The handlebar is now adjustable so you can quickly find the perfect riding position whether you’re sitting or standing. The 2024 model has a 10.25 inch touchscreen display at the helm with a premium design that gives seamless visibility of stats, depth, navigation and marine chart as well as a starboard Garmin GPS with everything you need. Like all Sea Doo vessels - this Switch Limited has got the tunes. It comes with the BRP premium audio system with 6 speakers, amplifier and subwoofer fully integrated in three corner tables for the ultimate in surround sound, with wiring ready for a fourth speaker. We definitely bumped it. If only our group could have agreed on the music!

DECK SPACE

The Sea Doo Switch line is known for its supreme customization capabilities. With the Cruise Limited, you can really enjoy the ultimate in personalization as the deck space can be tailored to your specific needs. This innovative boat offers “toolless adaptability”, allowing you to effortlessly rearrange seats, tables, and accessories in mere seconds, great for families and large groups. This model also offers extra seating, a standard front cargo liner and new integrated rope storage (speed ties) on the starboard side for easy and quick docking. The 2024 Switch Cruise Limited also features a redesigned swim platform for easier reboarding and watersport usage, as well as an exclusive design with a unique chic blue/gray color scheme and LED lighting setup that creates an elegant ambiance whilst helping you find what you need when it gets dark. We got to see a demonstration of the fun colors at night after our long day on the lake and I thought this Switch would make the perfect fireworks viewing boat.
