The Bahama 42 is not what you would call conservative, this boat really makes an impression as it enters the harbor. The design is neither extreme nor flamboyant; it’s the small details that make it special. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but you know you’re looking at something extraordinary.
This specific Skorgenes Bahama 42 is "custom-built" for the current owner and deviates particularly in terms of technology from what we normally deliver. This is quite a unique feature in the polyester (fiberglass) yacht construction, but we can do it! The owner absolutely did not wish for a very fast sailing yacht, but one that has the looks of it.
Thus, this Skorgenes Bahama 42 is equipped with 2 economical and especially very quiet (61DbA at full throttle!) 110HP Yanmar engines. The ship has the sailing characteristics of a "displacer," achieving speeds between 16 and 19 km/h depending on the conditions. However, it is primarily a cruiser, especially considering the tranquility on board. Moreover, this ship maneuvers excellently, even without a bow thruster. Compared to other polyester twin-screw ships, this Bahama 42 is a pleasure to maneuver.

Furthermore, this Bahama 42 features a very modern and light interior, spaciously designed and equipped with many comfortable amenities, such as: A generous kitchen, divided into 2 zones, one directly behind the fully opening sliding door to the aft deck, with one of the refrigerators within easy reach of the guests on the aft deck. An aft deck, by the way, that is equipped with an open roof for those who want to enjoy the sun. In the lengthwise section of the kitchen, you will find double sinks, a cooking appliance, pop-up HD TV, and under the helm seat, a generous second refrigerator that can also freeze. All cabinets and drawers are equipped with soft-close closures and solid hinges, some wardrobes also with LED lighting. Sitting together side by side on the helm seat, you can also enjoy the sun through the enormous electric sliding roof!

This Skorgenes Bahama 42 is finished in light oak (mostly solid and handcrafted), oak flooring inside, teak in the cockpit, and swimming platform. The latter is equipped with an outdoor shower and on the starboard side, a ladder to the starboard walkway. In short, you must see this boat!
During the construction of this ship, unfortunately, there was a significant health change for one of the owners (a couple), which makes staying on this ship in the near future very difficult, if not impossible, so they are forced to sell the ship without having been able to enjoy it.
