The 285 is built like a tank to handle the toughest testing grounds of the Atlantic- like Stellwagen Banks in New England (kind of like Wicked Tuna without the cameras and script.) Although her quality is seen, and felt, her real value is best experienced while others are scrambling back from the fishing grounds, as weather conditions can sometimes deteriorate, your confidence to keep fishing is founded in NorthCoast Boats solid reputation.
Twin 300HP available with a wide open throttle of 57MPH! 10,372 lbs ready to fish- designed to plane quickly with less hp (Twin 250HP) outboards, the 23 degree dead rise and aggressive lifting strakes combine to deliver a quick, dry, and comfortable run to the fishing grounds. Solid handling- the 285 provides high freeboard and flared bow. 216 gallons (use-able) fuel, at 3500rpms | cruising at 24MPH | burning 14GPH and a conservative range of 290NM nautical miles or 333 statute miles. (leaving ten percent in the tank).
