Description

Overview

The Nordhavn 625 model is based on the very popular Nordhavn 60 and employs some of the same production techniques used with other similarly sized Nordhavns. The N625 maintains the same footprint as the N60, with three cabins – two below and one in the pilothouse – but feels brighter, more modern and spacious, even though size-wise, it’s nearly identical.   A few differences from the N60 are the galley and flybridge are slightly larger, the cabin windows are bigger, and there is additional seating on the foredeck.  The result is a fresh, modern exterior that’s keeping with the sleeker feel of the latest models.

General Interior:

N625 Mondai Nai is hull # 2 of this series, and has a similar interior layout to the popular Nordhavn 60. The salon, galley and VIP guest cabins are all on the main level. Downstairs is the utility room and access to the engine room. Upstairs is the second guest cabin and access to the pilothouse. Entering from the aft cockpit door one enters the salon area. The salon of Mondai Nai features rich cherry wood veneer. The cherry wood tones are complimented with a lighter linen color textured wall covering. To finish it off the upholstery was done in a subtle “Whisper Gray” color on the settees, loose Stressless chairs and barstools. The flooring of the salon has wall-to-wall carpeting and countertops which pass thru to the galley are a lighter “Artic White” color stone. The “L” shaped settee wraps around the high gloss finished cherry wood salon table with seating for six guests.

Forward of the salon dining settee is a pass thru into the spacious galley area. The pass thru allows the chef in the galley to stay connected with the guests in the salon area. The galley of the N625 is larger than the N60 and is equipped with the finest and most up-to-date appliances.

Moving forward from the salon is access to the owner’s suite, which is a full beam suite with ensuite head. This cabin is equipped with ample drawer storage and hanging locker storage. There is plenty of natural light from the portlights as well as the overhead hatch. The head has a walk-in molded FRP shower for ease of use and easy maintenance.

In the bow of Mondai Nai is the VIP guest cabin. This luxurious cabin offers plenty of room for guests and has an ensuite head with a molded FRP walk-in shower as well. There is a queen bunk with ample hanging locker and drawer storage. In the floor of the VIP cabin is access to the “basement”, the forward machinery area. This is a great location for spare parts and luggage. This area also houses the fresh, gray and black water systems. It is well insulated so sound does not penetrate into the guest cabin.

On the starboard side of the galley there is a gentle staircase upward to the pilothouse and another downward to the utility room and engine room. The utility room houses a full-size washer and dryer as well as a front-loaded freezer. There is a workbench and more storage in this area as well. Access to the engine room thru a watertight door is located here in the utility area.

Up the stairs from the galley are the pilothouse, guest/captain’s cabin and full head. One big difference between the N625 and 60 is that the 625 does have room for two Stidd chairs at the helm. The pilothouse has a gorgeous “L” shaped settee in the wheelhouse and the dash is equipped with top-of-the-line electronics installed by Alcom Marine. This a Furuno based system with Simrad autopilot heads. You will find similar systems on a majority of Nordhavns. The pilothouse of Monday Nai is equipped with port and starboard Dutch style watertight doors to access the Portuguese bridge area. Aft of the pilothouse is the guest/captain’s cabin with a full head next door that can double as a day head as well. The main electrical panel on the N625 has been shifted up to the wheelhouse so the operator has control of the entire vessel from one central location.

General Exterior:

The exterior of the Mondai Nai has been very well thought out for ease of use, access and maintenance. Starting at the bow, the foredeck is simple with access to the anchor well, windlass and bow pulpit. A unique new feature are the molded settees in the brow of the Portuguese bridge. This a great place to sit and relax. Aft of the foredeck is the well protected Portuguese bridge with bosuns storage lockers and a starboard wing control station. Aft on the port side is access to the boat deck and then the flybridge and aft on the starboard side are stairs leading down to the lower cockpit area. The boat deck is equipped with a 1500-pound capacity Steelhead telescoping davit for lifting the tender. There are FRP deck boxes for extra storage here as well. Up a short staircase is the flybridge. The flybridge is a great vantage point with 360-degree views. There is a main settee with an FRP fixed table and a secondary settee off to the starboard side. The flybridge is covered by an FRP hardtop with integrated lighting and speakers.

Downstairs is the cockpit location. This deck has it all, built-in settee with a fixed FRP dining table, a built-in BBQ console, loose teak folding chairs and a basic set of navigation/electronics monitors. Here in the cockpit is a control station for maneuvering as well as an access hatch to the lazarette. Access to the dock from the cockpit is through the aft boarding door onto the extended swim step or through the boarding door down the port side walk way. This is such a comfortable space for anything from just lounging around or entertaining guests.
