The 2022 Malibu 23 MXZ Wakesetter delivers an exceptional blend of “pickle-fork” style, luxurious comfort, and pro-caliber performance. Stretching 23 feet with a spacious 102-inch beam and accommodating up to 16 passengers, its expansive bow seating invites socializing in both forward and rear-facing positions—enhanced by plush, hand-stitched upholstery, fold-down armrests, phone holders, cup holders, and customizable LED lighting throughout.

Beneath its refined styling lies the engineering signature of Malibu’s Wake Plus™ hull. Designed to sit deeper in the water at slow speeds, it generates highly efficient wake and surf waves with minimal effort. The boat also comes standard with a robust ballast system featuring approximately 1,445 lbs of integrated ballast (plus optional bow and “Plug-n-Play” packs) and the Power Wedge III hydrofoil, pushing total potential ballast to around 4,670 lbs—enabling riders of all skill levels to enjoy perfectly shaped wakes.

At the helm, the Malibu Command Center™ provides modern ease and control. The intuitive dash includes touchscreen displays, driver presets, watersports functionality, and optional wireless charging for phones. Standard-engine configurations range from the Malibu Monsoon M5Di®, all the way up to the potent LT4—offering between 360 hp to as much as 607 hp depending on specification.

Comfort and convenience flow seamlessly from bow to stern. The Soft-Grip flooring, crafted by Malibu, provides plush traction in high-traffic zones like the swim platform and walkway. At the transom, the boat features a flip-down swim step for easy reboarding, while the Wake View Bench Seat™ converts between traditional bench seating, rear-facing lounge, or a convenient picnic-style table. Safety enhancements include HD docking and rear-view cameras, radar integrated via the MaliView screen, and an optional Stern Turn rear thruster for tight docking and precise maneuverine.
