Description
When I describe this boat, I say very clearly: The Beneteau Gran Turismo GT40 from 2019 is a sports cruiser that delivers exactly what you expect from it. It is clean, well-maintained, technically solid, and offers that typical GT feeling – sporty driving, comfortable living.
At first glance, you can tell that the lines are right. The GT40 has a very balanced ratio of dynamics and comfort. The hardtop, the wide cockpit, the large bathing platform – all of this does not seem exaggerated, but just right. And it drives just like that.
Engine & Driving Experience
It is powered by two Volvo Penta D4-300, so 300 hp each. The engines run well, have around 1050 hours, and you can feel it: They are broken in, they are reliable, no worn-out "short-distance engines." When you accelerate, there is immediate pressure. The GT glides smoothly, keeps its course, and remains stable even in waves.
Anyone looking for a boat that is easy to maneuver gets exactly that here – especially with the bow thruster. Harbor situations are absolutely relaxed with it.
Interior
Below deck, the GT40 surprises many people. 1.95 m headroom – you notice that immediately. The two cabins are bright, airy, and simply well usable. Four adults can easily spend several days on board without feeling cramped.
The salon is practical: plenty of storage space, functional galley with refrigerator, freezer, stove, and sink. You can tell that this is not just about design, but about everyday usability.
The wet cell is well-maintained, with an electric toilet and hot water. Everything is in good condition.
Exterior
Outside in the cockpit, the GT40 really shows its strengths. The electric bathing platform is the highlight – perfect for swimming, for children, for water sports, or simply as an extended lounge at water level.
The teak deck immediately creates that high-quality feeling. You sit comfortably, have space for guests, and can use the hardtop well in any weather. Taking friends along, a swimming stop in the bay, a quick weekend getaway – this boat is made for that.
