The 2015 Cutwater C-26 is a thoughtfully designed, diesel-powered cruiser that blends the look of a classic Downeast style boat with modern performance and practical functionality. Built around Cutwater’s innovative keel-stepped hull, it departs from a traditional deep-V design with a near-vertical bow and stepped hull bottom that are engineered to improve fuel efficiency, reduce drag, and provide a comfortable ride while maintaining a relatively shallow draft.

At just over 26 feet long with a beam of 8’6″, the C-26 fits on a trailer and is easy to move between destinations, yet the layout makes excellent use of its interior volume. Below deck, there’s a spacious V-berth forward and a convertible dinette that transforms into additional sleeping space with another berth beneath, allowing the boat to accommodate up to six adults overnight. The cabin incorporates a fully equipped galley with a refrigerator/freezer, two-burner cooktop and sink, ample storage, and a private head compartment with full standing room, shower, and electric toilet.

The standard features on the C-26 go well beyond what’s normally expected in this size class, with a strong Volvo D3 220 HP diesel engine paired with bow and stern thrusters for easy maneuvering, an anchor windlass with dual controls, teak and holly cabin sole, multiple hatches with screens for ventilation, a sport rack and remote spotlight, and a self-draining cockpit with ice chest storage and flexible seating. Large windows provide protection from the elements while preserving good visibility.
