The 42 does not represent an exaggeration of performance, but certainly a well-executed compromise of the three aforementioned nouns, with a certain inclination towards the last, class, well combined with racing charm.
This Rossocorsa, in fact, is a mix of a classic line from a few decades ago, with attention to detail of a sporting nature, and a well-balanced propulsion to exceed 40 knots with relative ease.
The boat is equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines with a corresponding maneuvering joystick that allows it to reach a maximum speed of 40 knots, 32 cruising, with very low consumption and, last but not least, very easy maneuverability, even alone and in strong winds.
The transom is characterized by a mobile beach area thanks to an innovative system: two levers linked near the center are rotated by a hydraulic control unit, raising or lowering the level of the beach area. This provides the significant advantage of avoiding the presence of pistons immersed in water, greatly limiting the chances of corrosion.
The cockpit is spacious enough to accommodate a generous sunbathing area behind benches placed against the sides. In front of this space is the command console where, on the right side, there is a leather-covered steering system with rich instrumentation. Each area is particularly spacious, especially the cabin thanks to the flaring of the gunwales.
In case you want to host a guest for the night, in the lounge it is possible to lower the table to create a surface aligned with the sofas to set up a bed.
A complete kitchen is present with a Scholtès (Multiplo) cooking top, which stands out for the recessed pot boxes in the furniture that completely eliminate the risk of spilling food while cooking.
The hull is made of fiberglass (using unidirectional fiber, bi-axial, and fabric) with sandwich lamination with a PVC core. For the first two layers of the sides and the bottom of the hull, vinylester resin is used, while for the rest, isophthalic polyester resin is used. The structure of the hull has reinforcement elements arranged both longitudinally and transversely. The connection between the superstructure and the main deck is made through a mechanical connection and an adequate number of fiberglass layers.
