Description
“Marla D” is a clean Fresh Water Nordic Tug and has been well cared for. The Nordic 42 features a roomy layout and a large ship-style helm. The bridge also features a large chart table, 360 degree view and convenient access directly to the deck. The Nordic 42's top speed is 18 knots, cruise 14 knots, or slow her down to 9 knots and burn under 3 gals / hour. Built to take the roughest passage with confidence, the hard chine semi-displacement hull gives this tug a stable quiet ride. The hull is hand laid fiberglass construction with full keel to protect the rudder and propeller.
She features 2 staterooms and 2 heads, AC & heat throughout in 3 zones. She has a 11.5 Kw Onan genset, Boston Whaler fiberglass dinghy with 4 stroke Mercury outboard launched with a Nick Jackson deck crane. She is stored indoors in heated storage and can be viewed 7 days a week. If you are from either the East Coast or West Coast, we can get her shipped to her new home port. If you would like to cruise the Great Lakes, a slip is available for purchase in Traverse City.
Accommodations
The master stateroom is located forward and features a queen size walk around berth, (2) bulkhead mounted reading lights, (3) SS portlights and a Bomar overhead deck hatch, storage cabinetry along the hull sides, his and hers hanging lockers with automatic lights and an ensuite head with Corian counter top. There is abundant storage under the berth and under the cabin sole.
The guest stateroom is located aft and to port across from the guest head. The cabin features a settee that converts to a full sized berth, carpet, (2) reading lights, two portlights, a storage cabinet and a hanging locker above the combo washer/dryer. Outboard of the settee includes cabinets, drawers and bookshelves.
The office desk/nav table is located to starboard across from the guest stateroom.
Up (4) steps you enter the main salon which features an L-shaped settee on the starboard side that converts to a double berth for the occasional guest. A chair is to port facing aft to the entertainment center. All tinted windows feature day / night shades, (2) opening side windows with screens. The main salon door features a double hung window.
The pilothouse offers P&S sliding Diamond Sea Glaze access doors to the weather decks, a centerline helm station, a navigation table to port, a comfortable aft facing settee to starboard and a double bench seat with table to port. The vertical windshield reduces glare, yet there are plenty of tinted windows and doors for natural light and ventilation. All pilothouse doors and windows have individual privacy screens mounted internally. The sole in the pilothouse is teak and holly.
