GENERAL

LINDY is a well-maintained 2004 40' (12.19 m) Legacy Motor Yacht featuring timeless Downeast styling, a comfortable two-stateroom layout, and dependable diesel power. Ideal for cruising, fishing, or relaxing at anchor, she offers a spacious salon, functional galley, and open cockpit—perfect for couples or small families seeking a versatile and elegant coastal cruiser.

The aft cockpit provides a comfortable outdoor space with access to the swim platform and ladder up to the flybridge.  The aft-facing seat has additional storage below the cushion.  A secondary steering station outboard of the aft-facing seat has controls for the engine, bow, and stern thrusters. 

The flybridge provides an additional outdoor entertaining and driving area including a triple helm seat with a single passenger seat to port, and a custom second row of seating behind.  Additional storage can be found under the flybridge helm and under the aft seats. 

        

OWNER & GUESTS

LINDY comfortably accommodates 5 guests with a forward master cabin, a guest cabin, and a shared head with shower. Guests can relax in the bright salon, dine in the cockpit, and enjoy the helm deck and foredeck for cruising or lounging—making it ideal for couples or small families on coastal getaways.

The guest cabin sleeps up to 3 people featuring a lower berth that can be pulled out to convert to a small double.  Sliding pocket doors can be closed for privacy.  

WORKS COMPLETED

2023 – 2025:

• Completed an extensive enagine inspection - engine is in excellent health with the exhaust elbow replaced as a proactive measure
• Repaired underwater exhaust delamination
• Air conditioning system professionally flushed with Barnacle Buster
• Installed a new brainbox for the autopilot
• New shaft seals installed
• Vessel has been meticulously maintained by a licensed captain

2013 REFIT:

• Engine room insulation upgraded to rigid Soundown panel system 
• Replaced all plastic thru-hulls with solid bronze fittings
• Installed new R.E. Thomas self-aligning coupling
• Custom valves added to engine and generator inlets, allowing for easy flushing
• Custom-designed 3-person helm seat with dedicated quick-access storage for a 6-person life raft
• Replaced toilet with the Raritan Marine Excellence model (freshwater flush) and replaced all head plumbing and the holding tank pump-out system
• Comprehensive replacement of all hoses throughout the vessel
• Replaced all batteries
• Salon features electric roller shades, a new double helm seat with footrest, rod storage under the starboard side sofa, and a custom fold-out table with integrated bottle storage
• Entertainment center replaced with a fold down Smart TV, DVD player, and a vessel-wide smartphone-compatible audio system
• Enhanced V-berth with a memory foam topper and custom-fitted linens for all bunks
• Removed bulky washer/dryer and replaced with shelves for additional storage space
• Permanent full Bimini top secured with reinforced horizontal tubes (hurricane-tested) and a rigid cockpit sunshade with rod-holder supports.
• Converted the aft storage box to a full width seat with integrated storage specifically for an 8’ inflatable dinghy
• Added Removable electric grill (115V)
• Full flybridge cover, exterior window covers, and serviced sliding doors for effortless operation.
• Added a plastic divider between the shower and toilet area
• Moved horn compressor from the engine room to the area under the helm
• Sliding windows in salon replaced with single glass windows to prevent leaking
• New removable fighting chair
• Replaced standard cap rail rod holders with draining units
