Overview

"Adagio" reflects all the hallmarks of a Grand Banks—robust construction, timeless craftsmanship, and the renowned sea-kindly hull that has made the brand legendary. Wide, secure walk-around decks provide easy access to the side doors or up to the flybridge, while recently sealed teak decks are in excellent condition and add to her classic appeal.

This is the desirable two-stateroom, down-galley layout, featuring a spacious owner’s cabin aft and a comfortable guest cabin forward—each with its own private head and shower. The arrangement offers exceptional privacy for all aboard, while the salon and galley, positioned midships, create a welcoming central gathering space that maximizes both comfort and functionality. Perfectly designed for entertaining or relaxed cruising, Adagio is equally suited to extended passages or leisurely days on the water.

Accomodations

The accommodations are arranged in two spacious cabins at opposite ends of the yacht—an aft owner’s stateroom and a forward cabin for family or guests—each with its own private head and shower. This time-tested Classic configuration is celebrated for the privacy and convenience it provides, creating an ideal balance for extended bluewater passages, relaxed coastal cruising, family weekends, or memorable entertaining at the dock.

Salon

Step into the salon through either the port or starboard doors. True to all GBs, the space is rich in satin varnished teak, and bright as ever, with large opening windows all around, positioned to allow superb natural light, fresh air, and unobstructed vistas for all on board, whether seating or standing.

Galley

The galley is forward of the salon, down four steps, and it is bright with natural light, and is open to the salon via the companionway and breakfast bar.

It is U-shaped, and packed with all the amenities needed for stowing provisions, and for creating memorable meals.

The galley is positioned below the exterior side deck utilizing the full beam of the hull with the working area to port, and the pantry / laundry area to starboard, with extra refrigeration.

Lower Helm Station

The lower helm is seamlessly integrated into the salon, positioned forward to starboard with direct access to the side decks for ease and safety. A pedestal Stidd helm chair and finely crafted teak electronics console are thoughtfully arranged for maximum efficiency and convenient operation. Just inboard, the main electrical panel provides both AC and DC circuits, clearly labeled and easily accessed behind a windowed door.

Flybridge & Upper Helm

The flybridge and upper helm is expansive, and is accessed via steps from the port side deck.

The flybridge is also teak clad. The optional Grand Banks stainless steel radar arch is the centerpiece for the forward bimini and half is fully enclosed, and the aft portion is covered by a connecting bimini.

Fore and aft facing benches are forwards, with the upper helm to starboard. Adagio also has the optional L-shaped settee aft of these benches. It surrounds a teak table, and is offset to starboard, with room to port for additional seating or a BBQ or cruising toys.

Machinery

"Adagio" is powered by twin John Deere 6081 375 hp diesel engines. These industrial grade engines are renown for durability, quiet operation, and high torque, and they are perfectly suited to this application.

 

• Main engines have always received regular service. In 2023 services including: coolant flush, new thermostats, tappets adjusted, raw water pumps rebuilt and drive belts replaced. Impellers were changed in 2025 oil and filter change
