Description
One of Viking's all-time best-selling models, the Viking 55 Convertible out-competed everything in its class when she was introduced at FLIBS in 1997. 111 were built over the next six years. So popular was this yacht that most anglers believe the 55 to be as good as it gets in a sport fishing yacht of this era. Large enough to handle rough weather yet agile enough for a couple to easily handle, the standard three-stateroom interior has the master suite amidships, VIP queen berth (or popular crossover berths) forward and two full heads. Finished with high-gloss teak cabinetry, the salon's expansive layout, large windows and full 6'8" headroom create a remarkably open ambiance. The galley features a four pullout Vitrifrigo upgraded in 2020 fridge/freezers and a large countertop for entertaining. The Viking 55's huge, uncluttered cockpit is fitted with a bait prep center, freezer, two massive in-deck fish boxes and (optional) teak covering boards. The flybridge — with Viking's signature wraparound helm and single lever controls — has seating port and forward. MTU 1150hp diesels cruise the 55 Convertible at approximately 28 knots (35+ knots top).
