Description
Delivered to its first and only owner in April 1999, this AB Yachts Follia 75 is a large and fast Sport Yacht with Hamilton Jet propulsion and combines the highest standards of fittings and finishes with excellent maneuverability and seaworthiness. The Follia 75 is an upgrade of previous designs, with more powerful engines and a deep V hull to provide faster and more comfortable navigation at sea. Two Deutz engines of 1850 HP each provide impressive power to the water jets via Twin Disc reducers. The vessel is constructed with closed-cell foam between layers of composite. Inside the laminate, there is a layer of elastomer, which maintains the seal even if the laminate is damaged in a collision. The decks are made of aluminum honeycomb. This construction makes the Follia 75 very light but also very strong. Two transom doors allow access to the tenders. Another feature of the Follia 75 is its futuristic cockpit design and very intuitive controls. The reverse deflector and throttles are controlled with a single lever, and there are three idle speeds to choose from for precise maneuvers.
