Tiara Yachts 2900 Open

DESCRIPTION

Typical of the built to last, high standards of Tiara Yachts, this

1993 Open model, measures 29’ in length, plus a 24” Aft swim

step, with folding ladder.

It features a fiberglass off-white hull, with aft “J” leather bench

seat in good condition that is removable. Includes a very clean,

removeable AFT canvas cover for warm days. A Bimini style

canvas cover in excellent condition, has side Isinglass in great

condition. The Helm area has plentiful seating with leather in

excellent condition.

This Tiara is the perfect configuration for fishing and cruising.

While is it a 1993 model, the hull, fiberglass, and leather seating

have been well cared for. It is an overall clean boat not showing

its age.

GALLEY

The shelving, drawers and cabinets are finely fit, mold and mildew

resistant vinyl hull and headliner in off-white color. Dinette

cushions with ultra-leather upholstery are in excellent condition.

Teak and holly cabin flooring. Acrylic cabinetry in counter with

built-in sink with overboard drain. New Microwave oven, AC/DC

refrigerator/freezer. One burner electric stove. The lighted head is

equipped with new stainless steel fixtures, shower, exhaust fan,

and mirror.

There is plenty of storage under sleeping areas, side port-hole

open/close windows, and new, large aluminum hatch with

plexiglass located on the Fore Deck ceiling for interior fresh air.

Interior Air-Conditioning/heat works well on shore power. There is

no generator.

HISTORY

Showtime was originally purchased as new, named and moored

in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Records show it was sold in 2019, then

again in 2020. In 2020 Showtime was transported from Ft

Lauderdale to Newport Beach, CA.

The original owner in Florida kept all of the original documents

provided by Tiara and other vendors. These items along with the

original, complete 1993 Tiara New Owner’s Manual, is included

in the sale, as well as the other documents saved by the original

owner.

In February, 2022 Showtime was sold to the current owner in

Newport Beach. The current owner made upgrades and repairs

totaling over $40,000. The boat is moored at the Newport Dunes

Marina in Newport Beach, Ca on a month to month basis. The

mooring can be continued month to month or an annual contract

is available for approximately $1,500/month. Full use of facilities

including clubhouse, pool, laundry and ice machine is included.

The slip is a prime location for the annual 4 th of July fireworks

show.

In June, 2025 the current owners had health issues prompting the

sale of Showtime. That same month, while taking Showtime on a

last fishing trip to Catalina, the starboard engine overheated on

the return to Newport Beach. The engine was found to have

coolant mixed in with the oil. Due to this, the starboard engine will

not start. The owners had three mechanics check the engine. It

was determined that the engine will either need a rebuild or worse

case if the block cracked, a replacement of the engine may be

needed. The current owner decided to sell Showtime at a $10,000

discount based on the possible engine repairs. The port engine

runs smoothly.

Based on the overall condition of the boat, and the discount for

repairing the engine, there is a huge opportunity to own one of the

most sought-after fishing and cruising boats, the Tiara 2900

Open.

The boat includes all necessary USCG safety items including new

life vests for up to 10 people.

Some minor maintenance (oil and fluid changes) are not all

shown or were not available.

SUMMARY

Showtime has had regular preventative maintenance performed

between 2022-2025. The boat is washed every 3 weeks and the

bottom cleaned every month. Zinc’s are replaced as necessary.

Replaced in June, 2025.

Under the current owner, in addition to the work and repairs

shown on the March 2021 to June 2025 worksheets, these items

were done. Some of them are show on the worksheets.
