Custom Passenger Cargo Vessel

COMMENTS

This is a 346’ Passenger Cargo Ship built in Scotland in 1990.  It is Lloyds Register Class.  It was originally built to provide passenger and cargo delivery from South Africa to remote St. Helena Island in the Southern Ocean and was therefore heavily constructed to be able to safely navigate those extreme waters and conditions.   The ship has 62 guest cabins for up to 175 guests and 28 crew cabins 82 crew berths.  The ship has a large cargo hold with 2 cargo hatches. It has carried up to 92 TEU containers or 3,750 cubic meters of cargo and a cargo deadweight of 1,800 metric tons.

 

The ship underwent its latest refit in 2019. The entire ship was renovated inside and out. All machinery was serviced or upgraded, shafts and propellers pulled and full re-conditioned.  The exterior was blasted from top to bottom, heavily primed and re-painted.  The interior was completely renovated and modernized. Everything was done with the goal of being as energy efficient and eco-friendly as possible.  New bilge water treatment and power management systems were installed.  The aft deck pool was converted to a laboratory. The ship is in excellent condition operationally and visually. 

 

The ship is perfectly suited to operate as a passenger cargo cruise ship, accommodation ship, an expedition or multi-role support vessel.   It is very well priced considering the extensive recent investment made in its renovation and upgrade.
