Hi-Star Yachts was established in the 1980s in Taiwan, a major hub for yacht manufacturing at the time. The company focused on producing reliable, semi-custom motor yachts, blending Western design principles with quality Asian shipbuilding craftsmanship. The company placed a strong emphasis on practicality and liveability, featuring wide side decks, large aft decks, and innovative use of interior space. Their yachts were known for solid fiberglass hull construction and high-quality interior woodwork (teak joinery).
The Hi-Star 44 often features a low-deadrise, modified-V fiberglass hull designed for stable and economical cruising. The sundeck model features a full-width aft deck, providing a larger outdoor living and entertaining space.
This 44 shows well with some owner upgrades notably including a NEW SWIM PLATFORM.and re-bedded/sealed aft windows. Some interior wood staining and damage is visible from a previous leak. Vessel is powered with Mercruier gas engines and a bow thruster. Great TWIN CABIN LAYOUT and massive outdoor space on the rear sundeck.
