Description
"Moonraker" was primarily run in the fresh water, on the Mississippi River until 2021 when the owner transported it to the Manatee River in Florida where she currently resides. Repowered in 2019, this low-hour motor yacht has been very well maintained over the years and will bring joy to the next lucky owner. The Carver 4227 is an exceptional motor yacht with only a brief two-year production run, making her a much-desired cruiser. Carver's 42 Cockpit Motor Yacht is an impressive entry in the fly bridge world.
This 4227 was repowered in 2019 with remanufactured MerCruiser 340 HP gas engines powering shaft-driven props, a 3:1 reduction gear, and 24" four-blade props that give a top speed of 20+ knots at 4000+ rpm. Equipped with a pair of 200-gallon fuel tanks totaling 400 gallons, the range will be close to 300 plus miles. The 4227 Carver was a only manufactured for a couple of years. There is a small network of owners who currently run this model and they are a great community to network via online and Facebook.Â
