Caropagio GS 46 from 1985, in excellent condition with significant updates from the last two owners, as per the technical sheet with a complete renewal of the sail set and regular maintenance of the hull and renewal of the interior upholstery. The Grand Soleil 46 by Jezequel is considered the most successful model in the history of the yard for its sailing qualities and attention to the interiors, with this model starting the saga of the designation “SPAGHETTI SWAN” for the Del Pardo yard. The description of the exterior features a spacious cockpit divided between the helmsman and sail trimmers and a comfort area, with a new arrangement of the winches and the addition of an electric one for the halyards. Flush-deck with sunbathing areas, numerous hatches, and access points. The Velscaf mast with three spreaders was replaced in 2007 with hydraulic adjustments, as well as the engine now being a Volvo Penta 75 hp with sail-drive, and the addition of a bow thruster, are among the most important interventions in addition to regular maintenance. The interiors starting from the bow include a sail locker/mate's cabin, a full-beam owner's bathroom with toilet, bidet, large shower, and sink, two opposing cabins, one double and one single before the dinette, with a galley with a large refrigerator with freezer, stove, oven, and dedicated chart table. Opposite is an elliptical sofa, a central table with a three-seat sofa, with a super quiet insulated central engine, towards the stern two cabins, one double and one with two king-size beds and a pass-through bathroom with two dividing doors, the woods used and the craftsmanship marked an era for the fortunate owners willing to dismantle the furniture to face important regattas with exciting results.
The Grand Soleil 46 was the first model from Cantieri del Pardo in which the infusion technique was used for the construction of the hull, which is fast and responsive even in light winds.
