In production from 1965 to 2004, the Grand Banks 36 Classic is world renowned as an efficient, dependable tri-cabin motor yacht. Owners are known to have great pride in their GBs, and by and large, they are well cared for. This vessel is a prime example, having lived protected in a boat house most of her life, and seasonally, under winter cover by her current owners since 2014.

This is a spacious two-cabin and two-head design with the guest cabin forward, and the owners’ cabin aft. Each cabin has a private ensuite head and shower, plenty of natural light and ventilation, and tremendous storage.

Salon
Steps up from either cabin to the salon. The starboard door from the salon to the side deck is standard, and as mentioned, the port door to the side deck is notable. This optional port side door gives safe and easy passage to the flybridge.

Lower Helm
The lower helm is forward and to starboard of the salon, opposite the galley, with engine controls, gauges, instruments, and electrical breakers all close at hand.
Visibility from the lower helm is outstanding, and the operator can easily see all angles when maneuvering in and out of the dock.

Flybridge and Upper Helm
The flybridge and upper helm is accessed via teak steps up from the port side deck with secure stainless steel railings for safety. The decks here are also teak clad, with no missing bungs, and with relatively flat Thiokol surfaces.

Main Deck
The wide safe side decks are a hallmark of Grand Banks Yachts. The decks are clad in solid teak planking, all in excellent condition, with zero missing bungs, and with relatively flat Thiokol seams. All three opening gates in the railing open and close as easily and as securely as they should, meaning no railing distortion, even after 40 years.
