Description
Beautiful Steel Yacht for Sale
Custom-built by the owners of the Van Rossum Shipyard in the Netherlands, 1980
Zenobia II is a steel yacht built at the renowned Van Rossum Shipyard in the Netherlands in 1980. She remains in excellent condition, close to her original design, and serves equally well as a seaworthy vessel for coastal cruising or a comfortable liveaboard home, which she has been used as during the summers in Blekinge, Sweden.
Equipped with an oil-fired boiler and a hydronic heating system, she offers comfortable onboard living even during cooler days.
The yacht has recently been surveyed and hauled out for anode replacement and new hull paint. During this time, an ultrasound inspection of the hull was also carried out, confirming the good overall condition.
The current owners live abroad and have used Zenobia as their base during visits to Sweden.
The Van Rossum yard owner originally designed and built the vessel for himself upon his retirement in 1980. The present owners acquired Zenobia in 2016 from a Danish family, who had themselves purchased her about ten years earlier directly from the yard.
Thus, Zenobia has had only three owners since new.
Upon arrival in Sweden, she was registered in the national ship register and underwent an official tonnage measurement.
Her principal dimensions are:
Length overall: 14.80 m
Beam: 4.30 m
Draft: approx. 1.80 m
The interior is largely finished in teak and retains much of its original character.
She features a compact but fully functional galley, equipped with a gas stove, microwave oven, small fridge, and freezer, running on either gas or shore power.
The dining area seats at least five people, and a bright, spacious saloon adjoins the helm station.
Below deck there is a fully tiled bathroom with bathtub, two guest cabins, and a large owner’s cabin with a double bed.
The aft deck offers an outdoor seating area suitable for a dining table or lounge set, and on the coachroof there is a sun deck.
A newer inflatable dinghy with a 4 hp outboard engine is included.
Zenobia is fitted with a 1,500-litre holding tank and a 2,500-litre freshwater tank, enabling extended cruising without needing to call at port.
Her electrical systems include 220V shore power (or inverter/generator) as well as 12V/24V systems for operation at sea or during power outages.
The main engine is a Mercedes OM 360, rated at 160 hp, according to the Dutch registration documents.
