This survey was performed at the request of MYRT GAINES for the purpose of * CONDITON/VALUATION. Mr.Gaines was not present at survey. Equipment required by the insurance underwriter was operated at test for this survey (THRUHULL SHUT-OFFS/NAVIGATIONAL & ANCHOR LIGHTS/BLOWERS/HORN & BILGE PUMPS + STEERING SYSTEM), No seatrials or machinery performance checks were made by this surveyor. THIS VESSEL IS A BEATIFUL EXAMPLE OF WHAT A 70' YACHT SHOULD LOOK LIKE. IT IS DEFINITELY WHAТ A CLASSIC LADY, WITH THE PROPER CARE CAN BE! GENERAL, HULL, DECKS,WHEEL STEERING & WEATHERDECK CANVAS The vessel is constructed of gelcoated fiberglass reinforced plastic on both the hull & deck units. Method of attachment is chemical & the hull to deck bond appeared VERY GOOD at survey with NO COLLISION DAMAGE NOTED. Decks are FRP over plywood core material. MALLET SOUNDING DECKS DID NOT REVEAL ANY DELAMINATION PROBLEMS . HULL HAS BEEN ALEXSEALED AND PAINTED and appeared as EXCELLENT at inspection. No problems with the dual station HYNAUTIC wheel steering was noted & shifts and throttles operated at test. ALL BILGE PUMPS/HIGH BILGE ALARMS CO MONITORS AND SMOKE DETECTORS OPERATED AT TEST. INTERIOR OF 1980 HATTERAS 70 MOTORYACHT " SUMMERTIME LADY" Interior underwent a complete remodel complete with OVERHEAD SOFT LINER/FLOOR & WINDOW TREATMENT/LED LIGHTING/CARPET AND CORK FLOORING/APPLIANCES/TV'S/ICE MAKERS/HEADS/TEAK AND HOLLY HEAD FLOORING/ALL VESSEL PLUMBING/PLUMBING FIXTURES/ POP UP HIDDEN SALON TV/AFT DECK ENCLOSURE/WET BAR & AC. NEW CRUISE AIR AC UNITS (12)/ ALL NEW ELECTRONICS TO INCLUDE VHF RADIOS * GARMIN GPS/DEPTH/AUTOPILOT/RADAR/MARETRON FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM/QUICK 10KW BOW THRUSTER/BATTERYS/WIRING/60 AMP CHARGER SYSTEM & CUSTOM FURNITURE & MURALS. All observed primary FRP tab bond jointing was secure & vessels electrical wiring was noted as stranded BOAT CABLE with good well supported runs to the load center panel observed. I did note that the BATTERY SWITCH UNITS were located inside the engine compartment & NFPA & ABYC recommend installation of switches OUTSIDE of the the engine compartment for ready access . No recommendations as to any relocation of switches is made. Vessel did have adequate AUTOMATIC CO2 & HALON SYSTEMS W/CURRENT INSPECTION (2024) NOTED.

Total hours SINCE M.O.H. WERE: 1393 (P) & 1394 (S).Both engines appeared clean & belts/hoses & motor mounts appeared as serviceable. Access for service is VERY GOOD on this vessel. WALKER Air Seps have been added & RACOR fuel filters had vacuum gauges installed for fuel CONDITION MONITORING. (2) NEW ONAN CUMMINS 21.5 diesel gensets with full sound shields were installed in 2015 to replace the original units. Hour meters had 1065/1124 hours noted on units. BOTTOM & UNDERWATER RUNNING GEAR ON 1980 HATTERAS 70 M/YACHT Bottom of vessel has been peeled & barrier protected and was in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Mallet sounding did not reveal any delamination problems & cutlass bearings are recent. STRUTS/ SHAFTS/TRIM TABS/RUDDERS & PROPS all appeared as damage free & all observed underwater thruhulls have been replaced RECENTLLY. Bottom paint & zincs were all fresh.
