1977 Tollycraft LRC Pilothouse - Harmony
This rare model is impressive. Writing as a boat builder and designer I was truly blown away when I first toured Harmony. The layout is impressively roomy and can rival most much larger vessels. The Tollycraft 37 LRC would make an excellent live-aboard or long range cruiser.
Tollycraft build quality is excellent and evident and Harmony has been lovingly cared for by the same owner of over 20 years. It's rare to find a vessel of this age in this condition. Everywhere you look inside, outside and in the bilges, you can see that the owner has done an excellent job in maintenance and has given much TLC to this boat. Maintaining and enjoying this boat has been his hobby for 20 years.
Harmony has cruised extensively up the coast of BC and Alaska and has proven to be a capable and comfortable vessel for a couple with occasional guests.
Layout Description:
The salon rivals many in the 45' range. A comfortable L settee/sofa on the starboard side can seat 5 comfortably and is a convertible bed. The salon has a day head! This makes the convertible settee a truly viable and comfortable option for guest and owner privacy.
The galley is larger than many galleys in vessels over 50'. There is tons of storage and counter space, a propane stove/oven, microwave and large fridge/freezer.
The pilothouse has excellent visibility, a helm seat and a comfortable bench seat for crew.
Forward is a master stateroom with a large and easily accessed island bed. The master stateroom has tons of storage as well as an ensuite head and separate shower stall.
The twin detroit engines are easily accessed and headroom in the engine room is over 5'.
There's a flybridge with a bimini and portuguese bridge as well; hard to believe on a 40' boat.
The cockpit is covered with a bimini as well and has room for a couple chairs. The lazarette is a spacious storage space. The dinghy is on an electric fork davit over the swim platform. It's an 11' RIB with a side consul and 30hp motor!
Key Equipment:
Twin 135 Detroit diesel engines
Magnum 2000 inverter/charger
6v house battery (6) with 660 AH capacity - NEW 2023
Honda 2000 generator
300W solar panel
Vacuflush toilet (2)
Propane cooktop and oven
11' Caribe RIB dinghy with centre consul and 30hp outboard (new outboard)
Electric davit on swim platform (Pickle fork style)
Rocna Vulcan anchor, windlass and 300' of chain with seawater washdown
Chartplotter, Radar, AIS, VHF, Laptop with Open CPN software
Performance and Tanks:
Harmony cruises at 7.5 knots and burns approximately 2.5GPH, giving her a range of about 1500nm.
Fuel tanks are made out of aluminium and have a total capacity of about 550 gallons.
Water tank is aluminum and has a capacity of 180 gallons.
Hold tank is plastic and has a capacity of 40 gallons.
It's hard to find a pilothouse boat in this condition, easy-to-handle size and in this price range. Please contact us with any questions or to arrange a showing. I'm sure you'll be impressed. Trevor Brice
