This is 370’ Research Vessel built in Japan in 1977.   It is Bureau Veritas Classification with ice class rating.  The ship has successfully operated for many years in Antarctica.  There are numerous  laboratory and work areas. There are berths for up to 138 people including crew.  The ship has extended range of 15,000 nm.  There is a helideck and full hangars for 2 large helicopters as well as another emergency landing area on board.  Deck equipment includes a large deck crane and oceanographic winches.  The ship can carry 4,000 cubic meters of cargo and 419 tons of cargo fuel This is a go anywhere, do anything vessel.
