Description
The Trewes Spitsgatkotter 12.00 was designed in 1968 by the famous naval architect SM van der Meer and built by Van Dam shipyard in Aalsmeer. It is a unique, charming, and custom-made specimen with a classic appearance. The open cockpit and salon are connected by 2 folding doors, the spacious open cockpit features a U-shaped seating area, which is ideal for enjoying a wonderful day on the water with guests. There is a second steering position outside, a fore cabin with 2 fixed berths and generous hanging/leg lockers, and a spacious galley on the starboard side with a built-in Electrolux refrigerator and stainless steel sink. On the port side, there is a large toilet room with a fixed washbasin. In the salon on the starboard side, there is a spacious L-shaped sofa, a bar cabinet on the starboard side, and a sideboard with various cabinets and drawers on the port side. The floors in the fore cabin, galley, and salon are finished with decorative teak strips. Securit glass in copper-chromed profiles, fixed windows in the transom and doors, sliding middle side windows, 1 front window, and 1 half-folding window. Teak with rubberized seams over a steel deck. The entire structure is made of 20 mm mahogany plywood, with roofs made of 3 x 7 mm Okoume plywood laminated. A large sliding hatch is located in the salon roof. Steel self-draining cockpit floor, covered with teak with rubberized seams. Cockpit benches and edges are entirely made of solid mahogany. The cockpit is equipped with a fully covered tent with visibility windows. The ship underwent a complete renovation of the teak deck in 2022, featuring a spacious high open cockpit, a second steering position, stainless steel cleats, high double railings, all seal edges renewed in 2022, a folding teak mast, LED lighting throughout the boat, Victron Digital Multi Control, power system, and plenty of storage space. The air draft with the folded mast is approximately 2.50m. The ship has been stored indoors during the past winter seasons.
