Description
Since 2020, a renovated and recently furnished houseboat in Scandinavian style, fully equipped, with a quiet mooring available
Do you dream of living peacefully, in tune with nature and the rhythm of gently rippling water? Or setting off on long journeys along European waterways? This Luxemotor houseboat is located by a beautiful canal, has recently been furnished in a contemporary Scandinavian style, and is looking for a passionate owner. You can also take over the mooring and you are allowed to live here permanently.
The ship was originally built in 1929 at a well-known Dutch shipyard. In 2020, the ship received a new superstructure, and two years ago, a thorough renovation and furnishing began. It has been deliberately designed for a comfortable stay for two people. We board via the fixed gangway to the wheelhouse. The walkways to the rear are covered. The awning provides shelter for the open cockpit, and the lights on its roof edge immediately create the right romantic atmosphere. Anyone can enjoy the view over the water from the flybridge.
The interior is tastefully decorated. The wheelhouse has a modern look with vertical bamboo slats and a stylish pilot chair. Every space has been utilized, with a shoe drawer built into the step. The ship has a beautiful wooden floor. The black accents give the whole a contemporary and bold character.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a tall fridge/freezer combination, oven and microwave, pantry, dishwasher, designer induction cooktop with central extraction, double sink, and plenty of drawers. The countertop is made of composite, and a hanging bar element creates the right atmosphere. The access doors at the salon and wheelhouse have been renewed and have integrated screens. Stylish horizontal wooden blinds hang at the windows.
The sleeping area is five steps lower, at the front of the ship. Here you will be surprised by the warm color combinations. A blue tint was chosen for the lower board of the ship. The walls are white at the top, and these windows also have moisture-resistant bamboo slat window coverings. To the right of the stairs is the open bathroom with double sink and beautiful gray tiles. The faucet has a stylish bronze color. There is a large walk-in shower with a handheld showerhead and a rain shower. The space under the wheelhouse is fitted with sliding doors and storage cabinets. Here is storage space and room for a washing machine and dryer. Next to the sinks is the toilet. This private space has the same beautiful woodwork and a stylish hand basin.
The bed is centrally located in the room, against the end wall with vertical slats. Under the gangway on the starboard side are low sliding door cabinets with shelves.
This ship is located at the Bocholt-Herentals Canal. It is a quiet area near a small harbor with restaurants and shops within walking distance. The region is popular with nature lovers, cyclists, and hikers. Bocholt is centrally located between Roermond, Eindhoven, and Hasselt.
This ship is a unique opportunity, waiting for the resident who will continue its story and is looking for the atmosphere of a contemporary studio or holiday home.
