Union Gap, WA: Walker Bay Boats wins best OEM/Manufacturer site and best overall website in the marine industry by National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and boats.com, in the North American Marine Industry Web Awards. Walker Bay's web site was redesigned last year to reflect a new image and increase it's effectiveness in providing information to consumers, dealers and media. "It is an honor to be recognized by our peers as #1 in this category," says Michael Carroll, Marketing Manager for Walker Bay, "Traffic flow to the site continues to rise and has resulted in a decrease of calls to our customer service centre which is an indication to us that we are achieving our goals."

The site was designed to give users all the information they could want to know about the company, construction, products, performance, awards, reviews and where to buy. It's a place where people can find out all the details about every boat, every option and then build an ongoing relationship that brings them back and creates a sense of community. The web site also serves as a tool for media in providing story ideas, an updated photo gallery where high resolution photographs are available for download from an ftp site and a central source to reference all the latest news. The site has also been designed with dealers in mind so that they can have easy access to all specification sheets, performance charts, research and other product tools that help in the sales process.
