“Built for all-day excitement, the SPX 190 and SPX 190 Outboard fill out Sea Ray’s SPX line with a versatile 19-foot model,” said Keith Yunger, Sea Ray president. “These latest vessels that feature our new design language represent the ideal entry point in the Sea Ray lineup.”

Summer Boating in 2024: Family-Friendly Fun

As summer 2024 approaches, families and boating enthusiasts look for versatile and reliable boats to maximize their time on the water. The SPX 190 and SPX 190 Outboard are perfect additions for those seeking a compact, easy-to-trailer boat without sacrificing performance or comfort. They are both sporty bowrider runabouts with bucket seats, removable aft bolster and a stowable forward seat cushion. These two models expand on Sea Ray's existing lineup, and compete with similar boats from brands like Bayliner, Yamaha, and Chaparral, offering robust features that cater to family outings, watersports, and leisurely cruises.

The SPX 190 models accommodate up to 10 people and feature an 8′4″ beam in a 19-foot vessel. This compact size makes the boats easy to store while ensuring a stable and comfortable ride. The stylish exterior design, combined with modern aesthetics and customizable options, makes the SPX 190 an attractive choice for various boating activities.

Enhanced Technologies and Comfort

The interior of the SPX 190 models has been updated to include a comfortable and functional cockpit, featuring luxurious quilted upholstery, versatile L-shaped bench seating, and a convertible port companion seat. These elements transform the cockpit into a social hub, ideal for gatherings and relaxation. An integrated cooler under the aft seating ensures that refreshments are always close at hand.

The bow area, with its plush U-shaped seating, offers a perfect spot for conversation and relaxation. The optional Comfort Bundle adds a filler cushion and bow block-off backrest, converting the bow into a spacious sunpad. At the transom, the generous sunpad provides a comfortable place to unwind and enjoy the scenery.

Power and Performance

The SPX 190 models offer flexible power options to suit different boating lifestyles. The sterndrive model features a 200-horsepower Mercury® MerCruiser® 4.5L MPI ECT engine with an Alpha One® drive, while the outboard model is powered by a Mercury 115 Pro XS® engine. Both options ensure reliable power and maneuverability, whether navigating calm waters or engaging in watersports.

The helm is equipped with a Digital Dash, including a 7″ Simrad® NSX® touchscreen display and Mercury SmartCraft® Connect for intuitive engine monitoring. The standard Fusion® audio system, with Bluetooth™, Apple AirPlay® 2, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP), can be upgraded to the Fusion Premier audio system with the Entertainment Bundle, offering Signature Series speakers, a subwoofer, and blue LED accent lighting.

Family-Friendly Features

Designed with family fun in mind, the SPX 190 and SPX 190 Outboard come with several social zones and convenient features. The sterndrive model includes a standard ski tow eye, while the outboard model offers an optional ski tow pylon for watersports. Plentiful storage throughout the vessel, including a cockpit floor storage compartment, keeps gear accessible and secure. The swim platform, with a concealed four-step ladder, makes returning to the boat after a swim effortless, and the sterndrive configuration can be upgraded with a manual submersible step.

Conclusion

Sea Ray's SPX 190 and SPX 190 Outboard models are now available for order in North America and internationally.
