New Luxury Yacht Haven on Spanish Riviera
Yacht Club Cala D'or opens in 2005
Yacht owners and sailors around Majorca will soon have a new luxury haven at which to recharge their batteries, with the creation of the luxury Yacht Club Cala D'Or. Work on the club, based at the Cala D'Or Marina, is under way and should be completed by April 2005.
Yacht Club Cala D'Or life members will be able to take year round advantage of the Cala D'Or basin, which provides up to 700 berths, most with electricity and water immediately available. Car parking is also available, nearly all at the quayside, adjacent to the berths.
At the Yacht Club Cala D'Or, members will be able to take advantage of the most luxurious recreational facilities, including a sumptuous bar and lounge area and a fully licensed restaurant, as well as a snack bar with a relaxing terrace area with great views across the marina. For those wishing to continue working negotiations while abroad, full international conference facilities will also be available at the club, together with broadband internet access and all necessary administrative support services.
"For our members, luxury shore based recreational facilities are just as important as excellent sailing conditions," explains Pam Op den Brouw, Director of the Yacht Club Cala D'Or, "and our commitment is therefore to use highly skilled craftsmen and the best possible quality materials to fulfil our brief. The Yacht Club Cala D'Or will be a haven from which to enjoy all that the Mediterranean has to offer, while relaxing in an exclusive environment with all the services you may require on hand."
The marina alongside the Yacht Club Cala D'Or, situated 40 minutes from Palma at Port Petit,, can accommodate yachts and motor cruisers up to 25 metres, ensuring that even larger ocean-going vessels can find a haven here.
Potential members should be reassured by the standards by which Ms Op den Brouw and her team are implementing in the construction of Yacht Club Cala D'Or. "We have excellent contacts with the UK construction industry," she explains, "and we are insisting that our local craftsmen adhere to the most stringent British construction standards. When our members visit the Club, we are confident that they will be able to concentrate 100% on their sailing & cruising, while relaxing in a true haven away from the waves."
"Our ambition is for Yacht Club Cala D'Or to be a club which sailors visit again and again, enjoying the golden Spanish sunshine along with the best possible service and standards offered anywhere in the Mediterranean."
Membership is to be restricted to only 500 Founder Life and Life members and information is available on the website at www.yccalador.com or by emailing the Managing Director, Pam Op den Brouw on [email protected].
